Columbia,
Md. (March 25, 2008) – Audacious Inquiry, LLC, a leading management and
technology firm, announces two milestones in its rapid growth. In the March 7th issue of the Baltimore Business Journal, Audacious
Inquiry was recognized as one of the largest web design firms in the
region. Audacious Inquiry has also
received 8(a) certification as a minority-owned, disadvantaged business from
the U.S. Small Business Administration, which will facilitate its expansion
into federal government markets.
“These two positive developments signal Audacious Inquiry’s continued
growth as an innovator in marketing and technology in the mid-Atlantic region,”
said Christopher Brandt, the firm’s managing partner.
Audacious Inquiry, founded in 2004, recorded 2007 revenues
from its Web and Analytical Marketing business line of more than $700,000. This ranked it 21st on the Baltimore Business Journal’s list of
leading web design firms. AI also earned
a spot on the newspaper’s list of large telecommunications companies.
“The mission of our Web and Analytical marketing vertical is
to help large client organizations leverage Internet technologies to create
stronger relationships with their customers and prospective customers. My work with AI provides a venue to apply principles
learned through my research experience in the academic arena,” said David Bell PhD,
senior partner and professor of marketing at the Wharton School at the University of
Pennsylvania. “Although we’re
not a traditional Internet-development company, an initially steady flow of consulting
projects with significant web and software components continues to accelerate.”
The firm also received 8(a) certification from the U.S.
Small Business Administration this month.
Congress created the 8(a) program so that the S.B.A. could help small
companies owned and operated by socially and economically disadvantaged
entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Many
8(a) businesses secure contracts with federal agencies, or serve as
sub-contractors on large projects with those agencies.
“The 8(a) designation will not only help us grow our
business in the government vertical, but it affirms our commitment to a
diverse, multicultural workplace,” said Brandt.
AI has attracted a strong and growing team of talented
professionals from leading competitors such as Accenture, BearingPoint, and
EMC.
