Irene is an expert in the field of business process improvement with more than 20 years of experience in financial service process redesign, corporate management, and consulting. Irene built her knowledge of business process redesign as a bank operations officer where she was responsible for the Customer Service Call Center, and Central Operations. She then moved to the insurance industry where she worked for CIGNA Corporation designing business processes for multiple systems from the mailroom up, including workers comp, life insurance, construction bonds, and other property and casualty systems. As a consultant, Irene orchestrated the redesign and implementation of multiple domestic and international workflow systems including auto insurance, life insurance, property insurance, title insurance, and pensions. Most recently, as the Vice President of WellPoint’s Business Process Improvement and Change Management area, Irene created and sold the enterprise business process strategy to the executive team, and orchestrated project design teams that redesigned Blue Cross of California Membership, Customer Service, Claims input, and Pharmacy systems.
