Maryland's Department of Information Technology has recommended that Audacious Inquiry receive a Master Contract award through its Consulting & Technical Services (CATS) II contracting vehicle. When approved by the Board of Public Works in April, AI will be one of a selected number of master contractors eligible to bid on task orders for a range of technical services for state agencies and departments. The functional areas of AI's award are:
- Web and Internet Systems
- Software Engineering
- IT and Telecommunications Financial and Auditing Consulting Services
- IT Management Consulting Services
- Business Process Consulting Services
CATS II, as the name suggests, is the second largescale IT procurement vehicle issued by DOIT. The
CATS I master contract, awarded in December 2005, has enabled the state government to procure IT consulting and technical services in a timely and economical manner.
